Description
The Extended Orbit System Selector (ExOSS) is used in dual or triple system configurations. The ExOSS serves as an L-Band and 10MHz signal switch matrix which allows to route each one of the antenna (A, B, C) signals (Tx+10MHz, Rx) to and from two different Modems (GSO, NGSO).
The ExOSS provides the following functions:
-
- One/Two Modem L-Band interface (Tx, Rx and 10MHz)
- Routes Up-Link (Tx) and Down-Link (Rx) signals between the selected system and selected modem (any-to-any).
- One BDMx allows De-muxing and muxing of Up-Link (Tx), Down-Link (Rx) signals, LAN and 10MHz reference signal from a single antenna.
